Health Assistance Services What if I Need to be Flown Out of the Country for an Emergency?

If the AXA Assistance Medical Department determines that adequate medical facilities are not locally available in the event of an accident or illness, AXA Assistance USA will arrange for an emergency evacuation to the nearest facility capable of providing necessary treatment care. 

Through the Medical Monitoring process, our team of physicians will be able to make travel recommendations, including the mode of transport, whether or not an escort is needed (medical or non-medical), as well as ground transport requirements (wheelchair assistance, ambulance at each end, etc.).
