Ebola Haemorrhagic Fever in the Uganda

30th November 2007. There is an increased risk of contracting the disease if travelling to the area and being in direct contact with blood, body fluids or objects such as needles and soiled bedding that have been contaminated with secretions from an infected person. On 30th November the WHO reported an Ebola Fever outbreak in Bundibugyo District, western Uganda. According to this report, as of 28th November, 51 suspected cases of Ebola Hemorrhagic fever have been reported. Sixteen patients died, among them 1 health care worker. The Ministry of Health in Uganda, together with other international collaborating associations, is working to respond to the outbreak.
